Volleyball

Joslyn McKee is the lone senior on the volleyball team. She has played volleyball for four years. She is active at Marian in Crusaders Elevating Others, National Honor Society, National Spanish Honor Society, Campus Ministry, Ambassadors, Basketball, Track and Sole Sisters.  She is undecided on a college location, but hopes to study engineering. Joslyn’s parents are Kris and Jake McKee

Phoebe Meier is a VB Team manager this season. She played volleyball her freshman year and is on the intramural volleyball committee.  She is a member of Operation Others and plans to attend either the University of Kansas or Colorado State University where she plans to study psychology.  Phoebe’s parents are Heather & Craig Meier.

Madison Stover is a VB Team manager for the third season.  She has been a multisport athlete in Volleyball, Basketball, Soccer and Cross Country. She is active in Campus Ministry, National Honor Society and Polar Plunge.  She intends to attend the University of Kansas and study nursing. Her parents are Jeanne and Josh Stover.

Caitlyn Dunham has been announcing home volleyball games for two seasons. She is active in the Journalism program, serving as the Yearbook Photo Editor this year and has been on the Burn magazine staff for two years.  She has also been a class officer for all four years. She is undecided about where she will attend college but plans to study education. Caitlyn’s parents are Chris and Tracy Dunham.

Cross Country

Rachel Buresh is a first time Cross Country runner as a senior.  She has participated in volleyball for three years and in track.  She is active in the Young Medicine Club, Culinary Club, and Students for Life. She is a member of the National Honor Society and the National English Honor Society.  After graduation,she plans to major in a career in the pre-health section/field at either the University of Nebraska at Lincoln or Kansas State University. Her parents are Leigh and Tim Buresh.

Mia Butler is participating in Cross Country for the first time as a senior. She has been a volleyball player and a tennis player in the past. She is an active journalism student serving as the copy editor of the Network Newspaper and is a Marian Ambassador. She is undecided on a college plan at this time. Her parents are Christina and Eric Butler.

Emilia Hoyt has been a Cross Country runner all four years.  She is a member of the Sustainability Club and Sole Sisters.  She has been active in the Marian band and is a National Honor Society member, too.  She is undecided on where she’ll attend college, but she plans to major in the health/sciences field.  Her parents are Rochelle and Vernon Hoyt.

Leah Grace Helton has been on the Cross Country team since she was a ninth grader.  She lettered in Cross Country and competed on the soccer team as a freshman and in track as a junior.  She was the Team Manager for soccer her sophomore year, too.  She is an officer in FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) and a Marian Ambassador.  She is involved in Ping Pong Club, Operation Others and Culinary Club.  She is also an Honor Roll student. Her college plans are undecided, but she is leaning toward psychology or marketing on the pre-law track.  Her parents are Erin Grace and Morgan Helton.

Scarlett Henery is participating in Cross Country for the first time as a senior. She takes Honors classes and is active in Operation Others, Recruitment Team and Sole Sisters.  She is also active in the journalism program as a Page Editor for the Network Newspaper.  She is planning to attend UNL, SLU, KU or Loyola and is currently undecided as to a major.  Her parents are Trevor and Jacki Henery.

Gracie Lampert has been on Cross Country for four years.  She also plays soccer.  She wants to go to college, preferably Creighton and study to become a dental hygienist.  Her parents are Michaela and Keith Lampert.

Bridget McGill has been on the Cross Country team all four years.  She serves as secretary of the National Honor Society and is co-founder of the school’s Veggie Club.  Bridget hopes to go to college in Colorado, but is unsure exactly where.  Her parents are Renee and Patrick McGill.

Kyra Smith has been a Cross Country runner all four years.  She is a Ping Pong Club core member and a Marian Ambassador.  She is also a member of the National Society Honor Society.  She plans to major in biology in college.  Her parents are Holly and John Smith.

Catherine Slattery has been on Cross Country all four years.  She is a 3-sport athlete, having also competed in Basketball for two years and Softball for two years.  She is in the National Honor Society and is considering a career in nursing.  She also hopes to run cross country and track in college.  Catherine’s parents are Jennifer and Terrence Slattery.

McKenna Stover has been on the Cross Country team for all four years, having been a state team qualifier and an individual qualifier.  She has been named to the All Metro Academic Basketball team for three years and twice been named All State and All Metro Honorable Mention. In the spring, McKenna plays soccer and has been on the state qualifying team for two years. She is in the National Honor Society, the National Spanish Honor Society, National Science Honor Society and the National English Honor Society.  She is active in Campus Ministry, Operation Others and Polar Plunge. She does not know where she will go to college yet, but she plans to go the pre-vet track.  Her parents are Josh and Jeanne Stover.

Golf

Lauren Helton has been on the golf team for all four years. She participates in FBLA, Operation Others and Project Welcome. She plans to attend college and study business or something in that field. Her parents are Galen and Michelle Helton. 

Tori Schenkelberg has been on the golf team for all four years and been to state three of the four years. She has medaled at districts her sophomore and junior year and medaled her junior year at metros. She has previously played tennis for two years at Marian. She is a class officer and a member of the National Honor Society. Tori is the secretary of the Young Medicine Club and a member of the World Language Club along with Operation Others. Her parents are JJ and Jerry Schenkelberg. 

Madison Terranova has been on the golf team for all four years. She is a member of the National Honor Society. She plans to major in marketing at either Notre Dame, Benedictine, or Kansas State. Her parents are Lisa and Kevin Foley. 

Maggie Tynan has been on the golf team for three years and is currently the team manager for her senior year. She is a part of Campus Ministry, the Ambassador Core Team, and the Social Media Team. She is also an EMHC, a retreat leader, on the yearbook staff, and lastly she plays basketball. She is undecided on a college plan at this time. Her parents are Bridget and Sam Tynan. 

Softball

Charity Rose Curtis has been playing softball at Marian for three years. She has been named as a Class A Omaha World Herald, Journal Star, and Omaha Metro Coaches Honorable athlete. She is also involved in the Metro High School All Academic team and All Metro Coaches team. She plans to study education. Charity’s parents are Jeff and Beth Curtis. 

Reagan Dreibelbis has been playing Marian Softball for three years. She also plays Basketball and is a member of National Honor Society and Crusaders Elevating Others.  Regan is undecided on where she is going to college but she plans to play Softball and study physical education and coaching. Her parents are Robbin and Craig Dreibelbis.

Zoe Kassmeyer has been playing softball at Marian for all of her four years. She is a member of Art Club, Campus Ministry, the Peer2Peer program, and Honor Roll. Zoe plans to attend UNO to study sports psychology. Her parents are Jill and John Kassmeyer. 

Abigail Konecky has been playing Marian Softball for all of her four years. She is a member of National Honor Society, Veggie Club, FBLA, Ping Pong Club, and lastly she played soccer. Abby wants to attend either UNL or the University of Colorado- Boulder to study interior or graphic design. Her parents are Ellen and James Konecky.

Megan Tyrcha has been playing Marian Softball for all of her four years. She is a member of Ping Pong Club, Polar Plunge, National Honor Society, and Crusaders Elevating Others. Megan is undecided on her major but she plans to attend the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Her parents are Tanya and John Tyrcha.
