Marian’s fall musical, “Mamma Mia!” offered students fun ways to get involved in an after school activity. Whether students found their spotlight on or off the stage, the musical wouldn’t have been possible without all of their hard work and dedication.

Ready, Set, Surprise! Ensemble members pop out of the set windows and doors to surprise the audience during the song “Mamma Mia.” The set is constructed by Marian students on the set crew, who devoted their weekends to building the perfect Greek set.
Dreams under attack. Featured dancers surround Abi Howard ’24 as her nightmares in the song, “Under Attack.” These dedicated dancers practiced this dance repeatedly to perfect their more difficult moves.
Setting the stage. Backstage crew members Violet Christen ’27 and Gretchen Lang ’25 bring on the set at a scene change while Hailey Eriksen ’24 crosses the stage. Crew members have rehearsed the scene changes multiple times to ensure each transition is successful.
Thank you for the music. Hannah Butler ’24 plays the bass in the orchestra pit. Joining the orchestra pit is another way students can showcase their musical talents and get involved.
Definitely not a flop. The boys ensemble dances in swimming flippers to a fan favorite, “Lay All Your Love On Me.” Every year, Prep students join the Marian shows as an extracurricular and have assisted Marian in fulfilling the male roles.
Playing into the part. Senior Maddie Smith pumps her fist in the air as the main character of “Mamma Mia!” Donna Sheridan. The ensemble gathered around her and joins in with her singing a beloved Abba song, “Money, Money, Money.”
