Throughout the chaos of everyday life it is hard to find a moment of peace. From the minute my alarm goes off in the morning to the time I get home at night, I’m juggling responsibilities, expectations and deadlines. But within all the chaos I have found a moment all to myself in the car.
There is something therapeutic about getting in the car, turning the key and pulling out onto the open road ahead of me. All of my problems seem to fade into the background.

My favorite drives are the ones where I do not have anywhere urgent to be. Getting in the car, rolling the windows down, listening to my favorite songs and watching the sunset from behind my windshield.
With the business of everyday life, I do not get much time all to myself. But those drives give me space to think, breathe and clear my head. Even the short drives give me a chance to have peace and stay balanced, even when life feels impossible.
Driving is not just a way to get from one destination to another, but a way for me to get out of my head. Driving is that rare part of my day where everything feels still, just for a moment. A little bit of quiet means everything.
