True Food Kitchen does not lie

Restaurant Review by J1 Reporter Sophia Simmons

Eating healthy is not always the most ideal, but True Food Kitchen brings a different outlook to the table. This chain restaurant is located in 17 different states across the country, the closest location to Nebraska is in Kansas City, Mo.

This restaurant offers meals from brunch time until dinner. All locations open at 11 a.m. and close at 9 p.m. on weekdays. On the weekend it opens at 10 a.m.

The clean design of this restaurant creates a relaxing atmosphere to enjoy indoors or outdoors on the porch. This laid back atmosphere does not require any formal attire, just relax and enjoy!

The current seasonal menu offers different types of food from soups, salads, sandwiches, pizza, burgers, seafood, and much more. Not only do they have great food –

their drinks are a hit as well. They serve refreshers that include wellness shots, different juices, coffee, and tea.

The menu is organized wonderfully by each item in categories with a label next to it stating if it is Vegan, Vegetarian, or gluten friendly.

All of these wonderful options come at a great price. The refreshers come at all different prices depending on the order, the juices are $5 and coffee is $3.50. The salads are from $10-$14, and the pizza and sandwiches are around $15.

I tasted this delicious food for the first time this December in Phoenix, Ariz. The restaurant was very clean and simple. I quenched my thirst with many refreshers offered on the menu, by sneaking a try from each person in my family. I ordered the Good Earth Kale Cobb Salad, which was delicious. Their serving portions are a perfect size.

The service was fantastic. The waitress was kind and lively. The manager was friendly and appreciative to all the customers. I recommend this to all people – especially those people who are looking for healthier food choices! I rate this 10/10 overall. I hope to see this wonderful restaurant make a debut in Omaha!
