“Well, there’s chocolate And there’s chocolate

Only Wonka’s makes your confidence skyrockelet”

Once again, Timothée Chalamet shows up on our big screen, but this time he’s dressed in a top hat, vest, scarf, and of course, his trusty cane.

With singing and dancing galore, Chalamet brings to life the magic that is Willy Wonka.

But this should lift the gloom.

My giraffe milk macaroon

The movie begins with an iconic shot of Chalamet singing atop a sailboat whilst dreaming about his plan to make the best chocolate in the land.

Wonka’s mother introduced him to the world of chocolate, and his dream in life is to share his own chocolate business.

After traveling the world, Wonka perfected his own recipe and wanted to open his own shop in the chocolate capital of the world.

The movie brought me back to my childhood.

As many of my friends would say, the music and singing ruined it, but I disagree.

The cheery music and spontaneous dance numbers made me feel included in the magic that is Willy Wonka.

Just take a chance and you’ll be dancing

To a different tune!

Don’t even get me started on the scenery. Chocolate flowers, trees and flying chocolate bees.

Chocolate clouds and bridges that attract crowds.

It takes place in a whimsical city filled with bright colors and sounds that took me back to my childhood.

Oomp loompa doompety doo

I’ve got a tragic tale for you”

Don’t fear, the one and only Oompa Loompa has returned.

In his orange skin and green hair, he brings comic relief when Willy needs it most.

In the earlier movies, the loompas work for Willy, but in this movie, we are shown how Wonka came to work with the little orange men.

Have you noticed the movie is a musical?

With a four out of five star rating from the audience and an 82% on Rotten Tomatoes, Wonka has attracted splendid reviews from the spectators.

Although some critics say the movie had too much sing-songy energy and didn’t live up to the hype that is “Wonka,” I disagree.

The flash mobs and catchy songs give the movie a little hint of… sweetness.

It’s a great, imaginative tale with flying giraffes, huge chocolate fountains and songs that will be stuck in your head for the rest of the day.

Overall, I highly recommend this movie.

It’s a lively tale of Wonka with amazing colors and music to bring the characters to life.

The movie was released on Dec. 15 and is directed by Paul King. The movie is still playing in local theatres.
