Celebrate the fall senior athletes at their respective senior night events:

Softball – Sept. 24, 2026 – Softball will host Lincoln North Star. JV begins at 5:00 with Varsity to follow at 6:30. This is Senior Night and a BOSS Point Event. The non-senior players even do a dance routine. Come join the party!
Golf – Oct. 1, 2026
Cross Country – Oct. 1, 2026
Volleyball – Oct. 9, 2026

SOFTBALL

Amelia Spieker started playing softball when she was 4. She has been on the Marian team for four years. Amelia is on the Sustainability Board and active in Broadcasting, Project Welcome, Paw Project and as a tutor. She has been involved in Campus Ministry as a Sophomore Retreat Leader and will be a Freshman Retreat Leader next month. Amelia plans to study broadcast meteorology and/or environmental science at an undetermined university. She is the daughter of Kim and Jim Spieker.

Emily Ortmeier has been playing softball since kindergarten. She has been on the Marian team for four years. She has participated in Marian Ambassadors and Campus Ministry as a Sophomore Retreat leader/Core team member, FIAT member and Worship Choir member. She is an active member of the Students for Life club and has been honored with membership in the National Honor Society. After high school, Emily plans to attend college at an undecided location, with a desire to study psychology with a focus on clinical or sports psychology with potential minors of political science or nutrition. Emily is the daughter of Jeff Ortmeier and Holly Ortmeier.

Adele Tompsett started playing softball in fifth grade. She has been on the Marian team for four years. She is currently active in Yoga Club, Culinary Club and FBLA. In the past she was involved in Crusaders Elevating Others and the Basketball program. She has been honored with membership in the National Honor Society. She plans to major in pre-law with a minor in business. She will be attending Minnesota State University to not only further her education, but also play softball. Adele’s parents are Anne and Ryan Tompsett.

Sadie LeeAnn Klinetobe started playing softball at age 6. She has been on the Marian team for three years. She has participated in Student Ambassadors, Peer 2 Peer, Young Medicine, Project Welcome and Campus Ministry through Worship Choir and being a Sophomore Retreat Leader. She has been honored with membership in the National Honor Society as well as Social Studies, Science, Math and Spanish Honor Societies. She has also received Academic All State Honors. After graduation she plans to study nursing and Spanish while playing softball at an undecided location. Sadie is the daughter of Jessica and Ryan Klinetobe.

GOLF

Leah Wisdom has been playing golf with her family for her whole life.  She has been in the Marian Golf program for four years. She has been active in student government as a Class Officer, and in Campus Ministry as a Retreat Leader and Lead Altar Server. She has qualified for  State Track and has been involved in Polar Plunge.  She has been honored with membership in the National Honor Society and in Rho Kappa, the Social Studies Honor Society. After graduating from Marian, Leah plans to attend college and continue her academic journey. She is still exploring her options and deciding where she would like to attend and what she would like to study. She is excited for the opportunities ahead and looks forward to the next chapter. Leah’s parents are Tara and Marc Wisdom.

Delaney Schmitz has been playing golf since she was “really little” but started competing around the age of 7. She has been on the Marian Golf team for four years. She is active in Campus Ministry as a Retreat Leader, FIAT member and Head Morning Prayer Leader. Delaney is a Student Ambassador, a Crusaders Elevating Others leader, a Peer 2 Peer mentor and Treasurer of FBLA. She has been honored with membership in the National Honor Society and the Math, English, Science and Spanish Honors Societies. She is also a recipient of the Marian Identity Core Value Award. She is undecided on playing collegiate golf and  doesn’t know where she’s going, but she plans to double major in finance and accounting. She is the daughter of Travis and Julie Schmitz.

Lauren Murnan has been golfing since age 5. She has been on the Marian team for four years. She has been a Varsity team captain for two years and has been honored with membership in the National Honor Society. Lauren is committed to play golf at Creighton University. Her parents are Erin and Michael Murnan. 

Lucy Kay Peterson has been golfing since age 5. She has been on Marian’s team for four years. She has been a Varsity team captain for two years. She has also been on the Varsity Track and Field team every year. She is involved in Campus Ministry as a Freshman Retreat Leader and has been active in Crusaders Elevating Others and Student Ambassadors. She has been honored with membership in the National Honor Society, and in the French, Science and Social Studies Honor Societies. Lucy plans to attend college and hopes to study something in the medical field. Her parents are Julie and Kyle Peterson. 

CROSS COUNTRY

Anna Katherine Kubat has been running cross country since sixth grade. At Marian, she is a four-year Cross Country team member. Anna has also participated in soccer and basketball. She has been honored with membership in the National Honor Society as well as the Honors societies for Math, Science and Journalism. Anna has also been an active member in her community as a student tutor, volunteer, and hostess. In the Marian community she has been a leader and member in Campus Ministry, Newspaper, Yearbook, Ambassadors, and Young Medicine. She is undecided at this time for college but plans to major in engineering or continue on the pre-health track. Anna’s parents are Rick and Maureen Kubat. 

Charlotte Gautschi has been on the cross country team for four years, starting her freshman year. She is involved in Student Board, freshman retreat leader, FIAT, an ambassador, National Honor Society, soccer, tutoring at St. Pius/St. Leo, and many other clubs. Her major is currently undecided but she is looking at Marquette, Loyola New Orleans, North Carolina, and many more. Her parents are Colleen Hoarty and Eric Gautsch.

Madeline Rose Waters started cross country in seventh grade and has been on the Marian team all four years. She is an active member of Campus Ministry, being on both FIAT Core Team and Freshman Retreat Core Team. She also went on the 2026 Dominican Republic service immersion trip. She has participated in Model United Nations, is a member of BeMarian social media team, and is part of several clubs and an editor for the Network student newspaper. She is a member of English, Science and Spanish Honor Society as well as Rho Kappa and Mu Alpha Theta. Along with cross country, she has also competed in both soccer and track for Marian. After graduating, Maddie is undecided on where she wants to go to school but is considering a career in international relations, human relations or journalism. She is the daughter of Dan and Brenda Waters.

Ashley Bialas participated in track and field in grade school starting in seventh grade but started running cross country freshman year. She is involved in Campus Ministry as a Freshman Core and Sophomore Retreat Leader & Head EMHC. She has been involved in FBLA, Trap shooting (team captain), Soccer, Paw Project, Board of Belonging (vice president), Project Welcome, Journalism/Network newspaper and the Pantomime troupe. She has been honored with membership in the National Honor Society and the English, Mu Alpha Theta (Math), Science, Spanish, and Quill & Scroll (journalism) Honor Societies.  She is currently undecided on where she would like to attend college but she plans to stay in the Midwest. Her major is also undecided but she is considering business, public policy, science or social work. Ashley’s parents are Tim and Jeanette Bialas.

Lilly Day has been on the cross country team for three years, starting her freshman year. She has been honored with membership in the National Honor Society and in Rho Kappa, the Social Studies Honor Society.  She has been active in Yearbook, Model United Nations, Track and Field, and in Campus Ministry as a Service Site Core Team member and as a FIAT leader. She plans to attend a Jesuit University, but is undecided on a major. Lilly’s parents are Bridget Keegan and Jeff Day. 

Harper Cowles began running cross country in seventh grade, remaining in it all through her high school years. She is involved in NHS, Sole sisters, Track and Field and also is a Class officer. She wants to major in biomedical engineering on the premed track, and eventually get her MD PHD to do medical research and become a hospitalist. Her parents are Russ and Cassie Cowles.

VOLLEYBALL

Campbell Rose Capece has been playing volleyball since first grade. She has been in the Marian Volleyball program for four years. Her volleyball achievements include being named to the 2nd Team All State junior year, 3rd Team All Conference sophomore and junior year, 3rd Team All Metro sophomore and junior year and All State Honorable Mention sophomore year. At school, she participates in the Ping Pong Club. She is continuing her athletic and academic career at the University of Evansville to study sports psychology. Campbell is the daughter of Kevin and Laura Capece.

Ella Hatz has been playing volleyball since first grade. She has been in the Marian Volleyball Program for four years. She is active as president of the Ping Pong Club, a member of Young Medicine Club and a Yearbook section editor. She has been honored with membership in the National Honor Society and the National Science Honor Society. In Campus Ministry, she serves as an EMHC. Ella hopes to go to Denver University to study on the pre-dental path or dermatology. Her parents are Nicholas and Jody Hatz.

Erin E. Cramer has been playing volleyball since third grade. She has been in the Marian Volleyball program for four years. She has been an active leader at school, serving as Student Board Secretary (2024-current), Marian Journalism (Managing Editor 2025-current, 5th in state in Sports Journalism in 2026), Campus Ministry (Freshman Retreat Leader in 2025), Varsity Debate, and the Culinary Club Core Team. She has been honored with membership in the National Math, Science, Spanish, Social Studies, English and Journalism Honor Societies, as well as National Honor Society. She earned the Marian Core Value Empowerment Award and a Global Seal of Biliteracy. Erin is committed to play volleyball at Villanova University, where she plans to study political science and economics on the pre-law track. Her parents are Kati and Jon Cramer.

Taylor Ann McLeay started playing volleyball in first grade. During her time at Marian, Taylor has been actively involved in athletics, academics, and school activities. In volleyball, she was selected to the Omaha World-Herald Super Six and earned Class A First-Team All-State honors. A multi-sport athlete, Taylor is also a three-time state qualifier in the long jump for the Track and Field team, placing 4th at the state meet this past year. Academically, she is a member of the National Honor Society and the Rho Kappa Social Studies Honor Society. Additionally, Taylor is on the leadership team of the Polar Plunge Club. Taylor plans to continue her academic and athletic career at the University of Nebraska Omaha, where she has committed to play Division I volleyball. She plans to study kinesiology on a pre-health track, with long-term aspirations of pursuing a career as a physician assistant or an orthopedic specialist. Taylor is the daughter of John and Amy McLeay.

Kayla Brown has been a volleyball player since fifth grade. She has been in the Marian Volleyball program for four years and has also played Varsity Tennis for her entire Marian career. Kayla has been a Marian ambassador for three years, a member of CEO (Crusader Elevating Others) for three years, and a participant in Model United Nations, Culinary Club and FBLA. She has been honored with membership in the National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta Math Honor Society, Science Honor Society and Rho Kappa Social Studies Honor Society. Kayla hopes to attend Texas Christian University but is currently undecided on her major. She is the daughter of Kerry and Scott Brown

Claire Bridget Chapman started playing volleyball at age 7. She has been in the Marian Volleyball program for four years. Throughout her time at Marian, Claire has demonstrated leadership and service within the school community. She serves as a dedicated Class Officer and a core member of Operation Others, helping to organize vital community outreach efforts. Academically, Claire has achieved high distinctions, earning induction into several National Honor Societies. In addition to her academic and leadership excellence, she remains fully committed to her sport, showcasing a well-rounded dedication to the Marian community. Following graduation from Marian, Claire plans to attend college to study business, with long-term goals of pursuing a degree in nursing. She looks forward to combining these fields to build a unique career in healthcare management and patient care.  Claire’s parents are Cheryl Chapman and Tom Chapman.

VOLLEYBALL TEAM MANAGERS/STUDENT ASSISTANTS

Madeline Claire Danahay started playing volleyball in fifth grade.  She has been in the Marian Volleyball program for four years, serving her first year as a player and the remaining three as a team manager.  Maddie has dedicated her time at Marian to many clubs such as Young Medicine, Culinary Club, Pickleball Club and Ping Pong Club, and she also prides herself in being a member of Hope Squad, Campus Ministry, a retreat leader, ambassador, and big sister.  She has been honored with membership in National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta Math, Spanish and Science National Honor Societies.  Through her leadership and dedication to showing compassion to all, Maddie found her role in the Marian Volleyball program, despite not being a player.  Maddie wishes to attend the University of North Carolina and study medicine in hopes to become a dermatologist.  Maddie is the daughter of Michael and Jill Danahay.

Maddie McGreer has been playing volleyball since she was 7. She has been in the Marian Volleyball program for four years. Maddie is involved in the Marian community as a Freshman and Sophomore Retreat Leader, FIAT team member, managing editor of the Crusader yearbook, and leader of Model United Nations. She has been honored with membership in the National Honor Society and the English, Science and Journalism Honor Societies, and she is the president of Math Honor Society. Maddie is undecided on a college but hopes to major in civil engineering next year. Her parents are Jill and Stephen McGreer.

Vivienne Rose Siedlik started playing volleyball in second grade and played through her freshman year at Marian. She continued to stay involved in the volleyball program by serving as a student manager for the remaining three years. At Marian, Vivienne has been a Student Ambassador, Retreat Leader through Campus Ministry, and a Big Sister. She has been involved in the Polar Plunge and Be.Marian Social Media Club all four years and has also participated in Culinary Club, Pickleball Club, Operation Others and Ping Pong Club. Vivienne plans to attend the University of Nebraska–Lincoln to study pre-dentistry. Vivienne is the daughter of Melissa and Chad Siedlik.

Seniors submitted their own biographical information on a Google form in early September. As the different senior nights arrive, the rest of the individual photos will be added.
