Operation Others Core Team members announced on Monday, Nov. 23, that the Marian community’s efforts to assist with the fall holiday food drive for Mission Week were successful. According to the morning announcement, 1806 items were collected. The Freshman Class actually won the drive, earning free dress for the week, with 509 items. The juniors came in second with 448 items. Seniors came in third with 413 items and sophomores came in fourth with 343. Faculty members contributed to their assigned class, but those who were un-assigned, contributed an additional 62 items. These plastic containers of peanut butter and jelly will help fill the Operation Others holiday boxes going to families in the Omaha community for the holidays.
