At 6 a.m. a faint sound reaches my ear, repeating itself multiple times. I press snooze. Suddenly, I hear another noise. It is my mother yelling at me to get out of bed and the lights begin to flicker on and off. My eyes open and I glance at my clock to find that time has magically moved to 6:42 a.m.
I could have been productive! If I woke up on time, I could have began my laundry, started my homework, washed the dishes or grown a garden.
No matter how much free time I have in the morning one thing I will never waste my time on is a shower. It is an age old debate since the beginning of time. Which is better: morning or night showers?
The answer is obviously night showers and let me tell you why. So my fellow morning shower enthusiasts, gather around and let me tell you why you are completely wrong. For starters, night showers allow freedom. There is no time limit! In the morning, you only have time to sing “Shake it Off” but think of how many Taylor Swift songs you could sing during a night shower. You could make your own cover album.
Second, the thought of going to bed covered in grossness is a nightmare (which you will not have if you take a night shower. You just went to school exposed to germs and disease everywhere. The aura of leftover broccoli cheddar soup still lingers in your presence and follows you to bed.
Which brings me to my next point, nothing is better than feeling clean and then snuggling up in your warm clean sheets. Just let that feeling sink in, instead of germs.
In the end, there will always be people who take morning showers. But the haters gonna hate, hate, hate. So you just gotta shake, shake, shake, shake it off.
