Requirements:
– Be a U.S. citizen
– Live in Nebraska
Be at least 18 on or before the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November (November 8, 2016)
– Have not been convicted of a felony
– Have not been officially found to be mentally incompetent


How to register for the first time:
(Only need to declare party affiliation if you want to vote in primary)

In person:
– At the County Clerk/Election Commissioner’s office
– Through the state DMV when applying for or renewing your driver’s license

Deadline:
– 6 p.m. on the second Friday before an election


By mail:
– Applications are available at many locations: banks, post offices, libraries, and online from http://www.sos.ne.gov

Send in:
– Voter registration application
– Copy of a recent photo ID or a copy of a utility bill, bank statement, or government document (must be dated within 60 days before with the same name and address on the voter registration application)

Deadline:
-Mailed on or before the third Friday before an election
