Marian students take on Thailand


House of gold A prayer house near the Royal Palace in Phnom Penwh, Cambodia, shows impressive landscaping. The landscaping is truly fit for a King.
Doing the crab walk Nikki Rhoades ’17, Sophie Dineen ’17, Mia LaHood ’17 and Claire Kilborn ’17 carefully watch their step after noticing several tiny crabs in the sand. The girls were walking to a boat before hiking to Phraya Nakhon cave in Prachuap Khiri Khan, Thailand.
Buddha-ful views The Golden Mount of Wat Phra That Doi Suthep in Chiang Mai, Thailand, shoots high into the sky from its place on the Doi Suthep mountain. Awe-inspiring views of the city can be seen from the temple.
Oh rainy days Lauren Merfeld ’17 flashes a thumbs up while trying to escape from a sudden downpour. Students and teachers alike struggled to stay dry before entering the Royal Palace grounds in Bangkok.
All that glitters is gold The Royal Rest house, near the Throne Hall, was used as a waiting are before the Cambodian King mounts an elephant for the royal procession. It now houses gifts from foreign leaders.
