Q: How long were you in the DR (Dominican Republic) and what service did you do there?

A: We went from June 4 through June 15, and our main service work was helping the people of our village paint their newly built church.

Q: What was your favorite part of being in the DR?

A: The best part of the DR was the connection that I formed. The connections with my 10 Marian sisters are so strong, and I know that I can lean on any of them. I also got to meet such amazing Dominicans who welcomed us with open arms.

Q: Did you make any special connections with other girls on the trip or with the natives?

A: I really connected with a young girl named Brenda. We played together and danced together. On our last day, we gave each other friendship brace- lets and even shed some tears as we parted.

Q: What was the most rewarding part of your trip?

A: Through the trip I have formed a stronger relationship with God, and I am able to see Him shining through people more than I could before.
