Omaha Marian officially opened its recently redone chemistry labs to students with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday, Jan. 5. President Mary Higgins explained that it was only possible with funding from the Lozier Corporation, who paid for almost half of this major project, funding Marian received from the Archdiocese of Omaha, and a combination of Marian financial support. Marian was able to fully and successfully renovate the chemgiphy.gifistry labs that had been unchanged since the early 1960s.

Senior AP Chemistry student Becca Williams was one of the ten people with scissors who actually cut the ribbon. “I thought it was a cute, intimate event to finally bless the new space,” Williams said.
