Let’s be honest, you can never go wrong with “The Office.” Whether you’re there for Jim and Pam’s epic love story, or for Dwight’s amazing strangeness, “The Office” is a go to binging option. Who can say no to short episodes that will keep you laughing for hours on end?
Monsters, eighties music, and adorable mystery solving children, what more could you ask for? “Stranger Things” made it’s debut on Netflix in 2016 and since then it’s been a huge hit. The story is emotional, funny, and guaranteed to keep you on the edge of your seat.
Nothing can warm a cold winter heart more than the witty banter between Lorelai and Rory. With enough “laugh out loud” moments to last a lifetime, “Gilmore Girls” is the perfect show to watch with friends and even family. Besides, once you finish, you still have four hours of “Gilmore Girls” revival to get through!
Stefan. No, Damon. No, Stefan! Despite what “team” you’re on, “Vampire Diaries” is a perfect binge on a cold, snowy day. Watching Elena get through not only regular high school drama, but crazy supernatural drama makes me wonder how she can juggle all of her classes when I can barely get through AP Lit homework without passing out. Nothing can keep you warmer than bloodsuckers, cheesy romance and shirtless guys. Especially the shirtless guys.
“The 100” gives watchers a twist on the typical dystopian novel. Only problem? Instead of a perfect world, a group of 100 delinquent teenagers gets sent to planet Earth. Their mission, you ask? To make sure it’s safe to live there despite the toxic radiation. If you love a little bit of grunge, gore and a hit of romance, “The 100” is just for you.
How to Get Away with Murder
If you’re like me, you love TV shows with plenty of drama. Every episode needs to be a whirlwind of relationships, murders, and betrayal. “How to Get Away with Murder” does this better than any other show. It’s funny, fast paced, and filled with enough drama to last several lifetimes (or one snowy day).
If you’re a fan of historical dramas for the period style dresses and beautiful castles, and not so much for the historical accuracy, “Reign” should be your go to. The show follows the life of Mary Queen of Scots in sixteenth century France as she prepares to wed the future king of France, Francis. Mary’s life, however, is riddled with danger, and guaranteed to make you laugh, cry, and try to find the perfect sixteenth century styled prom dress.
Nineties sitcoms are the best sitcoms. “Friends” is a classic. The show follows the ups and downs of six twenty somethings trying to figure things out in New York City. This is the type of show that reminds you that nobody really has their life together, you just try to figure things out as you go along.
Parks and Recreation
Anything Amy Poehler touches is heartfelt and hilarious. “Parks and Recreation” is no exception. The day is going to go by quickly as you get lost in the lives of Leslie Knope and Ann Perkins and all of their antics.
Flip phones, Blackberrys, and Blair Waldorf’s iconic headbands. Now I’m sure you are wondering what these things have in common: “Gossip Girl.” Not only has “Gossip Girl” coined one of the most famous TV catchphrases to date, it is also full of enough drama to make Kim Kardashian gasp. Following the lives of a group of rich Upper-East Siders in New York, “Gossip Girl” is just one of those classic 2000s shows.
If you love quirky “girl in the big city” shows, nothing can top “New Girl.” “New Girl” is the story of Jess, a girl who recently broke up with her boyfriend and finds herself with nowhere to stay. All roads end up leading her to a trendy loft – with three guys as roommates! This funny show will having you laughing and cringing alike. And honestly, who doesn’t love some good Zooey Deschanel?
Remember Stella from the show Jonas? No? Neither did I until I watched Baby Daddy. This funny Freeform show surrounds Ben, a young bachelor who ends up with a baby in his arms. Yes, the baby is his. As he tries to understand parenting his friends and family lighten up angst. It will leaving you laughing for hours and hours.
Jane the Virgin
This telenovela style show kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time I was watching. Oddly enough, the main character, Jane, getting accidentally artificially inseminated is only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to crazy things happening in this show. You pretty much have no choice but to binge watch “Jane the Virgin”, because it’s too good to be able to walk away from.
