10 students were selected through a Campus Ministry application process to join Spanish teacher Mrs. Amanda Pritchard and French teacher Mrs. Katy Salzman for 10 days in the Dominican Republic in early June. The service trip was organized through Creighton University’s Institute for Latin American Concerns (ILAC).
The group spent a few days in Santiago, then went to live with host families in the mountains while painting their church and community buildings. Watch for a full story in the first Network print edition. Special thanks to Mrs. Salzman for snapping a few group photos for us.
Junior Marin Waters created this video of their time in the Dominican Republic.
