Swimming:
The summer club season continued for many of Marian’s swimmers as they traveled throughout the country competing in meets. From August 6-10 senior Isabella Pantano and junior Jojo Randby both competed at the long course Sum- mer Junior National meet, an extremely competitive meet reserved for under-18s only.
Five Marian swimmers and divers were also named All-Americans including Pantano, Randby, junior Maddie Clark and junior Amanda Allbery for the 200-medley relay, Randby for the 100-breast and Pantano for the 100-back. Junior Megan Carter was named diving All-American for the second year in a row.
Track:
Superstar track athlete junior Lauren Harris continued her successful career into the summer, breaking the state and regional records for club track. “It’s a tough decision to choose between club and school track,” Harris said. “You get to travel and see a lot more competition in club track but, I get to be with friends and relax a bit more with school track so I’ll say school [is more fun].” That’s not the only difference between school and club. Harris explained “It’s more difficult to run in the spring because it’s the beginning of the season and still kind of cold. e end of summer is when I usually do my best.”

Tennis:
Seniors Gaby Watton and Jayden Rocha, athletes in the Marian Tennis pro- gram, took home gold at the Fremont USTA 18 Doubles tournament. “This was a huge win for us. We have been on JV for the last two years and this was our very first USTA tournament. We actually beat a doubles team that has gotten second in Class A doubles at state.”
