Saturdays may be for the boys, but Fridays are for the girls. Recently, I spent a night out with a couple of my coworkers, we had decided to get dinner and decided on a restaurant called Ponzu, which is a sushi restaurant located in Aksarben village (2110 S 67th St. Suite 102, Omaha, NE 68106)
I believe it should be said that I have been to this restaurant a few times over the past six months, and it should also be said that I usually patron this establishment with a group of friends or family. It has a welcoming environment and is fairly clean, from the lack of dust on the ledges to the cleanliness of the bathrooms.

Ponzu mainly serves sushi, and has a happy hour between 4 and 6 p.m. where all drinks and appetizers are half off. There is also a second happy hour on Fridays and Saturdays from 9 p.m. to midnight. The food is fairly good quality with local ingredients, with a large variety of sushi and alternative entree options. We ordered four different rolls and a plate of truffle fries for the table, they all arrived quickly after being sat almost immediately at 5:15 p.m.
The service leaves more to be desired, with two different waitresses snapping at me and my party, and even arguing about items the table never received but we’re still charged for.
Overall Ponzu is an establishment one can enjoy with company, receive good quality food, okay service, and see all that Aksarben village has to offer. Over all I would give it 7/10.
