The staff standout for this issue is Spanish teacher, Ms. Amy Brabec. Brabec, also known as Profe, is in her third year of teaching at Marian. This year she teaches Spanish I, Spanish IV and Honors Spanish IV. 

“My favorite part of working at Marian is probably the all girls environment. Compared to my high school experience, I think it’s really supportive and that girls are able to discover themselves in ways that they might not at a co-ed school,” Brabec said.

Brabec grew up in the Chicago area and then studied for four years at St. Louis University on the Madrid campus. 

When she’s not teaching Spanish, Brabec loves to binge-watch TV and sleep. 

“Right now, I’m watching Brooklyn Nine-Nine,” Brabec said. 

Brabec is also a Spanish Club moderator where she helps plan meeting activities and times. The Network staff thanks you for all you do for the school!
