Taxi’s Grille & Bar, which is located at 1822 N 120th S., is the perfect place for a family dinner or a date night out. I recently went to Taxi’s for the first time on Jan. 21 with my mom for dinner and was highly impressed with the service and the food.
Taxi’s serves lunch and dinner daily, but they also are known for their weekend brunch. The weekend brunch is only served on Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. However after the weekend brunch, Taxi’s provides lunch and dinner on Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. On weekdays such as Monday thru Thursday, Taxi’s serves customers from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., but on Friday their operating hours are extended from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. These hours always have Taxi’s busy and ready to serve.
My mom and I went to Taxi’s for dinner, so I can not speak for their special weekend brunch. However, the dinner was fabulous. They offer many different types of main dishes. For instance, they offer salads, sandwiches, different types of pasta, Mexican food, and much more. I ordered the Chicken Enchiladas for $16 and they had great flavor with many unique salsa flavors. I tried the avocado cream.. My mom ordered the Tuscan Shrimp Pasta for $24 and said “it was outstanding.” Taxi’s price range is different depending on what you order.
On top of the fabulous food, the service was amazing. The waitress was kind and attentive. She gave us recommendations for what to order and told us about the specials and happy hour. Taxi’s has a happy hour every day from 3 to 6 p.m. that offers drinks and appetizers at a discount. The waitress also told us about their dessert menu. However, we did not end up getting any dessert because their portion sizes are definitely on the bigger side.
Taxi’s has limited seating, so depending on the day and time, you might need reservations or might have to wait for a table. Taxi’s also offers catering for weddings, holiday parties, or even graduations. Catering options include a special Neon Room which can seat up to 35 people and includes a TV and china dishes. Taxi’s also offers DoorDash for people who would rather eat at home.
The physical restaurant of Taxi’s is casual, but they do incorporate some fancier elements. For example, they dim the lights for dinner and have nice dishes. However, you are able to wear any type of clothing and blend in with the crowd.
Overall, Taxi’s is the perfect restaurant for a family dinner, graduation party, or a date night out. The service and the variety of food will guarantee a wonderful experience.
