If you ever find yourself near Overland Park, Kansas and are looking for a place to eat, Martin City Brewing Company is a great option. The brewing company is a local restaurant with only two locations in Kansas City, Missouri and one in Overland Park, Kansas. Located just off interstate 435, Martin City Brewing Company is right next to the Kansas-Missouri border. The Brewing company is on the corner of Indian Parkway, it is hard to miss. 

The first Martin City Brewing Company was founded in 2014. With the help of his friend Chance Adams, Matt Moore opened his first location. He was previously involved in home brewing but was wanting to try something new. The brewing company now has drinks distributed throughout the KC metro area and three locations and continues to grow. 

Walking into the restaurant, customers will be greeted by a staff member and brought to their table. The layout is spacious and clean. Looking at the menu, there is a variety of options for food as well as drinks for those 21 and up. The prices are very reasonable, main dishes commonly ranging anywhere from nine to fifteen dollars. The hours are very accommodating, being open from 11 a.m.-11 p.m. Monday to Saturday and 11 a.m.- 10 p.m.on Sunday’s.

When going to Martin City Brewing Company’s Overland Park location, I tried many items on the menu. For a starter, we ordered the Bavarian pretzels with cheese. they were the perfect size for four people to share, with about 5 large pretzel sticks. The barbecue chicken wings were recommended by the server and were delicious. The build your own pizza option on the menu is great for sharing. We ordered half pepperoni, half chicken and spinach. The crust was crispy and the pizza had just the right amount of cheese. The servers were kind and the service was quick, even with a good amount of people in the restaurant. The taproom also sells cups and glasses with their logo as well as t-shirts, hats and stickers for a nice gift. If you are ever in the Kansas City area in the future and looking for a place to eat, try Martin City Brewing Company.
