Track

Rachel Claire Buresh has been on the track team for three years. She has participated in volleyball for three years and she ran cross country for one year. Rachel is also involved in Campus Ministry, Culinary Club, Students for Life club, Young Medicine Club, and Marian Ambassadors. She is a member of the National Honor Society, National English Honor Society, National Spanish Honor Society, and National Science Honor Society. Rachel is attending the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and she plans to major in Biology on the Pre-PA track. Her parents are Leigh and Tim Buresh. 

This is Lauren Helton’s first year on the track team. She was on the golf team for all four years and she played soccer and basketball for two years. Lauren has also participated in Project Welcome, Operation Others, and FBLA. She plans on studying Business at Ole Miss. Lauren’s parents are Galen and Michelle Helton. 

Martha Rosanna Hinneh  has been on the track and field team for three years. She was also a wrestler for three years and won the state championship in her weight class this year. She is also active in robotics, track, debate and esports. She is a published poet and a TAR (Technical Aid Resource student).  She is undecided as to a specific college, but she plans on studying computer and environmental science. Martha’s mother is Mary Wollor.

Gracie Lampert played soccer for Marian for her first three years, and now, she has moved into her first year on the track team. She has run for the varsity cross country team all four years. She plans to attend UNL where she will go into pre-health and study to be a dental hygienist. Her parents are Michaela and Keith Lampert. 

Bridget McGill is running track for her third year. She has participated in Cross Country, Model UN, and Model Congress. Bridget is also the Secretary of National Honor Society and the co-founder of the Veggie Club. She is committed to run Cross Country at Regis University in Denver. Bridget plans on double majoring in visual arts and exercise science. Her parents are Patrick and Renee McGill. 

Joslyn McKee is running track for a fourth year. She also played volleyball and basketball for four years. During volleyball season, she earned an NSAA Fall Academic All State award and All-State Honorable Mention in the Lincoln Journal Star and the Omaha World Herald. She is active in Marian in Crusaders Elevating Others, Operation Others, National Honor Society, National Spanish Honor Society, Campus Ministry, Ambassadors and Sole Sisters.  Joslyn plans on attending the University of Missouri where she will be studying Engineering. Joslyn’s parents are Kris and Jake McKee.

Gabriella Grace Roche is participating on the Track team for her fourth year. She is also a 4-year participant on the Swim and Dive team. She is active and involved in Readers Advisory, Sustainability Club, FBLA and in Campus Ministry as a Retreat Leader.  She is also the copy editor of the Yearbook and is an award-winning photographer.  She has been honored with membership in the International Honor Society for High School Journalists, Quill and Scroll; National Honor Society, National English Honor Society and the National Science Honor Society.  In her Marian career, she participated in Mock Trial for three years, Choir, Operation Others and the Ambassador Program for two years and Show Choir for one year. In college, Gabby  wants to major in business and be on the pre law track. She also wants to minor in communications at a yet-to-be-determined location. Gabby’s parents are John and Alaina Roche.

This is Grace Simet’s first year running track. She also played reserve soccer for three years. Grace has been involved in FBLA and Operation Others at Marian. She will be attending UNL to major in health sciences. Her parents are Josette and John Simet. 

Caitie Slattery has been on the track and field team for all four years. She also ran Cross Country for two years, played softball for two years, and played basketball for one. Caitie earned varsity letters in both Cross Country and Track. She is an active member in Soul Sisters and she plans to run Cross Country and Track next year at Regis University. Caitie’s parents are Jennifer and Terrence Slattery. 

Track Managers

Track Team Managers

Christina Joka is a first time Track team manager as a senior.  She has been an involved student at Marian through her involvement on the Step Team, as a sports announcer, ambassador and as the president of the intramural program.  She has also been on the Honor Roll.  Christina plans to double major in communications/media and philosophy and minor in French at Seattle University.  Her parents are Flaviana Sindani and Bakura Joka. 

Kendra Peprah is a Track team manager for the first time as a senior. She is active in Diversity Board, on the Honor Roll and in Bible Studies.  She plans to attend Loyola Chicago and study chemistry with a minor in English.  Kendra’s mother is Pearl Dokyi.

Tennis

This is Emma Koch’s first year as the tennis team manager. She has been on the bowling team for three years and she was on the volleyball team for two years. Emma has been active in Campus Ministry as a Retreat Leader for three years.  She is not sure of the college she’ll be attending, but she plans to major in computer science or engineering. Emma Fae Koch’s parents are Dan and Sandra Koch.

Maya Zier has been on Marian’s tennis team for four years. She is a multi-sport athlete, as she has also played bowling for two years. Maya is active in Campus Ministry and is one of the sports editors for the award-winning Network Newspaper.  She has been recognized by the National English Honor Society and the National Science Honor Society and Quill and Scroll, the International Honor Society for High School Journalists. Her artwork has been published in Burn magazine as well. She will continue her academic career at the University of San Francisco and will major in design with a minor in advertising. Maya’s parents are Peggy and Larry Zier. 

Soccer

Anna Bragg has been playing Marian soccer for all of her four years. She is involved in National Honors Society and Operation Others. Anna is committed to Creighton University to play soccer and she is undecided on her major. Her parents are Jenni and Scott Bragg. 

Jane Kidder has participated in soccer for all four years. She has been active in the French Club and a part of the Crusaders Elevating Others group. She will be playing soccer at Hamline University in St. Paul, Minnesota while studying Psychology and Business. Jane’s parents are Mark and Tarna Kidder. 

Isabelle Snowden has been on the soccer team for all four years. She was Defensive Player of the Year for both her sophomore and junior season and has participated in Operation Others and Young Medicine Club. Izzy is committed to play soccer at Drake University where she will be studying health sciences. Her parents are Allison and Jason Snowden. 

McKenna Stover has been on the soccer team all four years, rounding out 12 seasons in sports in her high school career. She was on the basketball team and cross country team for all four years, having been a state team qualifier and an individual qualifier.  She has been named to the All Metro Academic Basketball team for three years and twice been named All State and All Metro Honorable Mention. She was a member of the state qualifying soccer team for two years. She is in the National Honor Society, the National Spanish Honor Society, National Science Honor Society and the National English Honor Society.  She is active in Campus Ministry, Operation Others and Polar Plunge. McKenna plans to attend Colorado State and major in zoology on the pre vet track. Her parents are Josh and Jeanne Stover.

Rylie Washington has been playing Marian soccer for all four years. She is involved in Young Medicine Club and FBLA. Rylie is committed to play soccer at Iowa Western where she plans to study exercise science. Her parents are Nikki and Travis Washington.
