Lunch isn’t just a break from classes, it is a time to relax, socialize and most importantly, enjoy the food served by the Hurtados. The menu covers a wide variety of food from side salads, to wraps, to desserts. Even though this selection is delicious, what really draws the students in is the variety of entree meals served every day.
After informally interviewing 25 students about their top choices, the entree that received the most love was the burrito bowl. “There are a lot of toppings and I love how you can customize your meal,” junior Madeline Iske said. The burrito bowl is a top seller for the customization aspect because it is a meal that fills you up and keeps you energized for the day.

Another clear favorite was the orange chicken. It provides a different category of food that makes the students keep coming back for more. “I love the orange chicken so much because there is nothing else like it at Marian right now and it is always good,” junior Josie Piernicky said. It is a meal that never fails to draw a crowd.
The burrito bowls and orange chicken are the top two favorite entrees according to the students. Other meals that are enjoyed are the walking taco, egg rolls, and chicken sandwich. Thanks to the Hurtados, lunch is a time during the school day that many look forward to and brings everyone together.
