To start off the Christmas season, an adventurous comedy called, “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever,” comes to the theater. The movie is based on the book, “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever,” by Barbra Robinson. The book was published in 1972 and brought to life in 2024.

The Annual Christmas Pageant ran smoothly, until a shocking turn of events. While trying to reenact the true meaning of Christmas, six of the worst kids seem to get in the way. The whole town is wondering if the perfect Christmas pageant will be ruined.

“The Best Christmas Pageant Ever” is directed by Dallas Jenkins and stars Judy Greer, Pete Holmes, Molly Belle Wright and more. It is written by Platte F. Clark, Darin McDaniel and Ryan Swanson. The movie is PG and about 1 hour and 30 minutes long, so it is great for a family trip to the movies.

There is a lot of character development seen throughout the movie. The soundtrack brings out the emotion in the characters and tears throughout the theater. For example, “Go Tell It on the Mountain,” by Blake Shelton, is part of the amazing soundtrack and performance.

This movie is definitely worth watching if you enjoy a sweet message about the real meaning of Christmas.
