Finding and trying new restaurants is one of my favorite things to do in my free time or as a fun activity with friends. My most recent find was Biaggi’s Ristorante Italiano. Biaggi’s is an Italian restaurant that offers many traditional Italian dishes and appetizers along with a few specialty dishes and a cocktail bar. They seat large and small parties in the common area and have specialty rooms for private parties.
Biaggi’s offers a warm atmosphere with low lighting, making it a perfect place for date night, but it would also be great for special occasions with family and friends. The restaurant isn’t too loud and the servers are engaging and genuine with the customers and any questions they might have about the menu.
Ordering can be a large task, looking at the expansive menu, but it is split into easy-to-read sections that are titled by the genre of food, such as pastas, pizzas and seafood.
They offer a delicious bread basket along with plates of parmesan and olive oil for dipping that satiate your appetite until the main course arrives. I ordered the sea scallop risotto for my entree. The risotto was rich, warm and creamy and the scallops tasted fresh and were cooked to perfection.
They also offer a variety of desserts. I tried the bomboloni, which is fried bread pudding rolled in cinnamon sugar, served with caramel sauce and ice cream. It is absolutely delicious and enough to share with a few friends.
Biaggi’s is part of a chain of restaurants that spans across the Midwest, however, that does not negatively affect their quality or service. It is located at 13655 California St, Omaha, NE 68154, which is just off of West Dodge Road on N 137th St. It is open seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. They accept reservations through online booking and phone calls.
Their price range is about $20 to $30 per person, which might sound pricey but is a fair price for many of their steaks and seafoods.
Overall, I would highly recommend a trip to Biaggi’s Ristorante Italiano, whether you are celebrating with your whole family, going on a nice dinner date or commemorating a special moment between friends.
