From July 11-13, the 2026 PGA Girls High School Golf National Invitational took place at Pinehurst Country Club in North Carolina, bringing in more than 500 state champion golfers from all over the country. This invitational is one of the most prestigious golf competitions for high school teams and securing an invite is an impressive feat. Winning the Nebraska Class A State Golf Championship helped the Crusaders to secure their invitation. 

    Marian golf has had quite a successful run. With 13 state championships and five state runner-up placements total, this team has what it takes to compete at a high level. During the three-day nationals, they placed 16th as a team, out of more than 230 individual female golfers. 

     The 2026 season is looking very bright for these golfers. They’ve brought home the Nebraska state championship back-to-back the past two years. They have the opportunity to make history again with a three-year back-to-back state championship finish. The first and only time ever in Marian golf history was in 2008, 2009 and 2010. As Head Coach Robert Davis said at the Aug. 18 pep rally, “This team is practically unbeatable!”
