A former University of Miami student turned social media super star with nearly nine million followers, Alix Earle brought her family to the screens of Netflix this month.

“Earle Meets World,” a reality docuseries, introduces the world to the complex family dynamic that is the Earle family. Filled with drama, love and a little heartache, this show reveals the unseen sides of the Earle family and Earle’s business ventures.

This new side of Earle’s life brings up the change that the world has seen her go through since she started posting on social media. As she went from posting get ready with me’s (GRWMs) to launching her own skin care company —Reale Actives— Earle showed girls that they can do it all.

Freshman Gia McDermott is inspired by the fact that “she took something so negative in her life to make something positive” through her skin care company. Also by the fact that “she helped so many girls,” McDermott said.

Earle has shared on social media her struggle with acne trying to destigmatize the topic. This struggle led to Earle’s Reale Actives skin care company being founded on the basis of helping people heal their skin.

Throughout Earle’s rise to stardom she has built an impressive investment portfolio including Sipmargs, an alcohol company, Gorgie, an energy drink company and most recently Cymbiotika, a supplement brand. One of her first notable investments included Poppi, the widely popular prebiotic soda company, before it was sold for nearly $2 billion to Pepsi in 2025.

Earle is unlike any other influencer; she is inspiring girls all over the world and here at Marian.

Freshman Molly Floersch is inspired by Earle. She recognizes the platform Earle has built while staying true to herself. Floersch connects to Earle through sharing the “parts of her life that many influencers would not share, like her fights with her sister.”

She also said that Earle “has a great way of showing the reality of navigating social media especially in ‘Earle Meets World.’” Earle’s success motivates her to continue with her personal goals, she said.

Just like Floersch, sophomore Kate Egan is inspired by Earle. Egan is inspired by Earle because “she became so successful when she was still very young” and seeing Earle’s success shows “all girls can succeed by staying consistent.”

Aside from Alix, the series features other members of her family like her dad T.J. and his wife Ashley, her mom Alisa and her boyfriend Todd and her four siblings Ashtin, Izabel, Penelope and Thomas.

Her family dynamic seen through the show has often been compared to the early seasons of the hit reality series “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” with the similarities between the families.

To explain the family, T.J. and Alisa were married and had Alix and Ashtin, but then separated. T.J. got remarried to Ashley and they had Izabel, Penelope and Thomas. Alisa is now dating Todd.

Many fans have been able to relate to the chaos, family dynamic, sister fights, raw emotion, love and laughter of the show.

Ashtin, a few years younger than Alix, attended Tulane University where she studied psychology. She now is on social media and has hopes of pursuing a modeling career.

Although her three younger step-siblings Izabel, Penelope and Thomas are young, they still add a fun and humorous element to the show. Izabel is a young teenager getting started on social media like her older sisters. Penelope is 11 and dedicated to equestrian. Thomas is 9 and a fan favorite of the show.

This new reality docuseries emphasizes all that Earle has done. Through social media she has transformed from just an influencer to an entrepreneur who is inspiring the younger generation and showing girls that they can do anything.
