This month, theNetwork staff selected Ms. Susie Sisson as the staff standout. This former StuBo moderator has worked at Marian since 1994. Along with teaching six blocks of classes ranging from History to English, she is involved in Servite Connections Club and is the chair of the Marian English Department. Students can agree that Sisson is one of the most passionate teachers at Marian. She is able to empower young women through her teaching in a way that makes them enjoy the work.

She also recently spearheaded a committee to celebrate the 100-year anniversary of the ratification of the 19th Amendment, which gave women the right to vote. On Aug. 18, 2020, a day long leadership conference will be held for students to celebrate the amendment. Sisson invited Mercy and Duchesne to participate in the event. “I find it important to celebrate such a monumental day in women’s history with the local all girls schools.”

See Sisson in Room 215 with any questions or suggestions about the event. The Network thanks you for all you contribute to Marian, Ms. Sisson!
