Hitting the Slopes Marc Wharton skis down Mt. Crested Butte in Colorado on Dec. 21, 2023. That winter had one of the highest annual snowfall ever recorded, with 314 inches of fallen powder between November and April.

8. Academic Moment 

Trecek Teaches Freshmen learn about the studying for finals in Freshman Seminar, led by Mrs. Trecek, on Monday, Nov. 25. Mrs. Trecek teaches the entire freshman class about finals, GPA, grades, and staying academically organized in several meetings throughout the entire school year.

9. Marian Spirit or Core Value 

Swimmers Soar On Wednesday, Nov. 27, the 2024-2025 Marian Swim Team poses for a photo before practice at the UNO pool. The Swim Team practices up to twice daily in several pools around Omaha, including at UNO and Burke High School, during their winter season, lasting from November thru March.

10. Emotional Response

Going the Distance Swimmers persevere through exhaustion mid-workout on Nov. Wednesday, Nov. 27, at the UNO Pool. This workout involved repetitive block starts and sprints for 10 cycles, lasting over an hour in total.

My Ethics Statement – Maeve Wharton:

I am a photographer who values truth and genuine responses. It is my priority to capture subjects in their entirety, without bias, while respecting their dignity and privacy.
