Student Board surprised everyone with the after-Mass announcement on Thursday, Feb. 2.  “….and the 2017 Teacher of the Year is…. Mrs…..Surprise Day….” Principal Susie Sullivan announced.

Chaos erupted and students spent the last five blocks of the school day enjoying everything from bouncy houses and cotton candy, to movies in the PAC and a photo booth.

With the extra $2000 students raised at Walk-A-Thon, Student Board was able to provide an additional face painter, a balloon artist, a caricature artist, additional inflatables and ice cream treats for all.

“The Student Board juniors who were Surprise Day chairs did a phenomenal job planning and organizing the entire day. It was a major success that left students smiling and excited to be Marian girls,” Allie Morrissey ’17, senior Student Board secretary said.
