CROSS COUNTRY SENIORS
(These seniors were recognized at a “Senior Night” on Tuesday, Sept. 10 between the JV and V volleyball games. If you couldn’t be there to celebrate in person, please consider celebrating them here with a COMMENT)

Lucia Marie Ambrose has been running Cross Country for four years. She also participates in Swimming/Diving and in Track. She is recognized as a member of National Honor Society, the National English Honor Society and Rho Kappa, the National Social Studies Honor Society. She is a class officer, a member of the Ambassador Core Team, part of the Crusaders Elevating Others leadership group and a morning prayer leader. She was on the Dominican Republic Service trip and has been active in Campus Ministry, in Women’s Select Choir, and the Sole Sisters Running Club. Lucia serves the Sports Editor of the Network Newspaper. Her college plans are undecided at this time. Lucia’s parents are Jean and Jim Ambrose.

Ellie Lynn Brown is a Manager for the Cross Country team for the first time. She is active at Marian in the Sustainability Board and on the Track team. She is uncertain of her college destination, but she plans to study in the pre-med track. Ellie’s parents are Kerry Brown and Scott Brown.

Nora Claire Coffey has been running cross country for four years. She is also a part of the track and field team. She is a part of Campus Ministry, where she is on core team for freshman retreat and a senior retreat leader. She has traveled to the Dominican Republic for the Marian mission trip. She is the vice president of the National Honor Society. She is also part of the National Science, Math, and Social Studies Honors Societies. She is a club leader of the Soul Sisters and part of Operation Others, math club and art club. After Marian, she plans to study either engineering or biology. Nora’s parents are Amanda and Steve Coffey.

Cecilia Crotzer has been running Cross Country for three years. She started running her sophomore year, and is in the National Honor Society, National Science Honors Society, Sole Sisters, Debate, Operation Others, and FIAT (Faith in Action Team) of Campus Ministry. She’s interested in studying business or pre-med in college. Cecilia’s parents are Rebecca McCrery and David Crotzer.

Evelyn Bullock has been running Cross Country for two seasons. She is active in FIAT (Faith in Action Team of Campus MInistry), as a retreat leader and the Big Sister Core Team. She has been recognized with membership in the National English, Spanish and Science Honor Societies. She is undecided on college plans. Evelyn’s parents are Drlynn and Steve Bullock.

Mackenzie Reidy has been on the Cross Country team for three years, starting in ninth grade. She currently serves as the Student Board president and the president of National Honor Society. She has been on the FIAT core team (Faith in Action Team of Campus Ministry) and the Operation Others core team as well. She plans to attend college and study computer science before going into cybersecurity as a career. Mackenzie’s parents are Melissa Reidy and Rod Reidy.

Maggie Lampert has been running since sixth grade with the last four years on Marian’s Cross Country team. She is also involved in Varsity Swim/Dive and Varsity Track. She is active in Operation Others, too. She plans to attend the University of Nebraska at Lincoln to study exercise science to become a physical therapist. Maggie’s parents are Michaela and Keith Lampert.

Lucy Gerraughty has run Cross Country for four years. She started running her freshman year and has already earned two Varsity letters. She has also earned two Varsity letters for soccer. At Marian, she has been recognized with membership in the National Honor Society, Honor Roll, National English Honor Society, National Science Honor Society and National Spanish Honor Society. Lucy has served her Class as a Class Officer, in Campus Ministry and in Operation Others. After high school, Lucy plans to study nursing but is undecided on college. Saint Louis University is her top choice right now. Her parents are Alice and Sam Gerraughty.
GOLF SENIORS

Madison Murnan has golfed at Marian for all four years, but she started golfing when she was 5. At school, she is involved in Campus Ministry, Student Ambassadors, the Crusaders Elevating Others (CEO) group, and National Honor Society. Madison was the All Metro Golf Conference Champion in 2023, as well as being on the 2023 Nebraska Coaches Association Super-State Golf Team. After high school, Madison has committed to play golf at Creighton University and is currently undecided on an undergraduate major. She hopes to eventually pursue a degree in medicine. Madison’s parents are Erin and Michael Murnan.

Briella Jaclyn McLaughlin is a four-year golfer at Marian who started golfing in eighth grade. She is active in Campus Ministry, National Honor Society, Big Sisters, Operation Others and the Duchesne/Marian lacrosse team. Briella plans to attend the University of Nebraska – Lincoln on a pre medical track. Her parents are Jackie McLaughlin and Mickey McLaughlin.
SOFTBALL SENIORS
(We are expecting to celebrate the softball seniors at Senior Night on the softball field on Sept. 26. Time is approximately 6 p.m.)

Katie Hansen has been playing softball at Marian for four years. She started playing when she was in first grade. In 2023, Katie was named All Metro Honorable Mention and earned the Academic All State award for softball. In 2022, Katie was part of the State Championship team. Katie is the sports editor of the Crusader Yearbook staff, a member of National Honor Society and a member of Crusaders Elevating Others (CEO) group. She is currently undecided but leaning toward pre-physical therapy at the University of Nebraska or Kansas University. Katie’s parents are Andrea Hansen and JJ Hansen.

Mary McKay has been involved with the softball program all four years. An injury sidelined her to the Team Manager role this season. Softball has been part of her life since she was at least 8 years old. She is active in journalism as the Network Newspaper’s photo editor, and is a Marian Ambassador. She was also involved in Peer2Peer helpers. Mary will most likely study biology and photography at the University of Nebraska – Lincoln. Her parents are Kathleen and Matthew McKay.
VOLLEYBALL SENIORS
(We are expecting to celebrate the volleyball seniors at Senior Night on the volleyball court on Sept. 24. Listen for announcements for full details.)

Lainey Bosiljevac is a four year participant in the Volleyball program after having started the sport in second grade and continuing to play club volleyball at Premier. She has been recognized with membership in the National Honor Society and is part of Campus Ministry as a retreat leader. She has also been a school Ambassador. Lainey hopes to become a physical therapist and go to college not too far from home. Her parents are Stacy Williams and Jason Bosiljevac.

Isabel Campie is a four-year Varsity letter winner in the Volleyball program. She began the sport when she was 8. She has earned All Class and All State accolades has tallied more than 2,000 assists in her high school career. She is active in journalism, serving as the Copy Editor and the Indepth Editor of the Network Newspaper. She is an officer in the Math Club and a member of Campus Ministry. She has participated in the Model United Nations program and is a regular volunteer at the Heart Ministry Center. Isabel has been recognized with membership in the National Honor Society and in the National English and Science Honor Societies. She is committed to play volleyball at Washington University in St. Louis and study in the Olin School of Business. Isabel’s parents are Sarah and Mike Campie.

Anna Cramer serves as one of the Varsity Team Managers. She has been active in the basketball program and is the treasurer of the National Honor Society. She has also been recognized as a member of the National Science, English and Spanish Honor Societies. She keeps busy with involvement in Young Medicine Club, Operation Others and Project Welcome. She plans to study pre-med in college with a minor in history. Anna’s parents are Kati Cramer and Jonathan Cramer.

Gabrielle Hern is a four year volleyball player at Marian who started playing when she was 3. She also runs track and is a member of the National Honor Society. She plans to study kinesiology and become a physical therapist. Gabrielle’s parents are Jean and Mike Hern.

Amelia J. Kafka has played Marian Volleyball for four years. She has been playing since fourth grade. Amelia has been a Class Officer for the last two years. She serves as the president of the Culinary Club and as an officer in Future Business Leaders of America. She earned the NSAA Academic All State Award last season and has been recognized with membership in the National Honor Society and in the National English and Science Honor Societies. Amelia plans to study on the pre-med track and eventually have a career in medicine. Her parents are Jessica and Charlie Kafka.

Isabelle Margaret Lang played Volleyball for three years and is serving as one of the Varsity Team Managers this season. She started playing volleyball in sixth grade. She is active in the Young Medicine Club and in The Paw Project Club. Her college plans are currently undecided. Isabelle’s parents are Katie and David Lang.

Melody Jada Mayer has been part of the Volleyball Program for four years. She has enjoyed being on Varsity since freshman year. She started playing in grade school and has been involved in Club Volleyball since age 12. She is recognized as a member of the National Science and English Honor Societies. She is a member of the Ping Pong Club as well as FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America). She plans to study finance in college. Melody’s parents are Shawna Mayer and David Mayer.

McKinlee Schneckenberger has been a three year participant in the Volleyball Program. She started playing volleyball herself in 5th grade and now serves as one of the Varsity Team Managers. She plays soccer and has been recognized with membership in National Honor Society, and the National French, Science and Math Honor Societies as well. She is active in Campus MInistry and the World Language Club. She has a goal to study biology on a pre-med track with a minor in French. McKinlee’s parents are Kim and Justin Schneckenberger.

Izabella Vlasek has been playing Marian Volleyball for four years. She started playing the sport at age 11. She is currently the Vice President of the Culinary Club and a member of National Honor Society. She plans to attend the University of Nebraska at Omaha and major in aviation on a path to becoming a commercial airline pilot. Izabella’s parents are Karisa and Scott Vlasek.
