“Black History Month means a lot to me, especially as the daughter of African immigrants. I feel like it’s really important to understand the whole Black diaspora and how much they contributed to the world, especially American culture.”




Thuiang Kual ’29:

“Black History Month is a time for me to be seen and to feel more appreciative of my culture. It used to be really hard for our people back then, so it makes me feel honored to be a Black woman in society today.”
